The three day camping
safaris depart every Tuesday and Friday, and give you the opportunity to
get back to nature and experience the real Fraser Island. |

Camping doesn't
necessarily mean roughing it, after a long day of exploring come back
and relax at the well appointed tent village located at Cathedral Beach
on the eastern side of the island, perfectly positioned to be central to
all of the Island's main attractions.
Also included in your three
day safari is quality meals, national park fees, transfers to the
island, all tours for three days and two nights accommodation. |

Sit back and relax in the
purpose built 4WD coach complete with air conditioning and large,
panoramic windows as your expert guide drives you throughout inland
tracks and along the sweeping Seventy Five Mile Beach.
Personalised attention is
ensured with each coach taking a maximum of only 16 passengers.
Take comfort in the experience of your driver / guide as well as the up
to date equipment, such as a satellite phone, as you journey across the
stunning Fraser Island.

Day1:- Your tour begins with a courtesy pick up from your Hervey Bay
accommodation before departing the mainland to cross the Great Sandy
Straits via vehicle ferry.
Your first Fraser Island encounter
will be traveling through the interior of the island, discovering
massive rainforests and bush land before emerging on Lake Allom and
enjoying a scenic picnic lunch.
Here you have the opportunity
to spot the timid fresh water turtles. Witness the spectacular
sand blows slowly consuming the island's forests when you visit Knifeblade Sand Blow.

Cruise along the wide, sweeping
eastern beach called Seventy Five Mile Beach and make your way to
the famous Maheno Shipwreck, the coloured sands at the Pinnacles and
stop at the fresh water Eli Creek for a swim. That evening
enjoy a delicious dinner at Cathedral Beach Resort where you will
also be staying for the night. |

- Day 2:-
Indulge in a sumptuous breakfast at Cathedral Beach Resort before heading off to explore the
beautiful northern parts of the island. Climb Indian Head and
spot sharks in the deep waters below, spend time at the Champagne
Pools where you have the opportunity for a swim, and admire the local
wildlife at Orchid Beach.
You are allowed ample time to walk, photograph and swim
during the day.
After a picnic lunch
the tour returns to Cathedral Beach Resort mid afternoon giving you
plenty of time to relax, fish or hike before an appetizing BBQ
dinner and overnight accommodation.

Day 3:- Enjoy another delicious breakfast at Cathedral Beach Resort before
heading up Seventy Five Mile Beach to Lake Wabby. Here you can
partake in a morning of swimming or take the opportunity to explore
the area on foot.
The Fraser Island Wilderness Retreat is
your next stop to dine on a tropical buffet lunch.
The afternoon
is filled with activity, take a stroll through the magnificent Yidney
Scrub Rainforest in the heart of Fraser Island, and then visit
Boomerang Lake for birdwatching, exploring and swimming.

After three days of exploring the marvel
that is Fraser Island, the tour returns to Moon Point where you once
again board the ferry before crossing the calm waters and heading back
in to Hervey Bay. The courtesy bus will also transfer you back
to your Hervey Bay accommodation. |
